  • Get Started

    Ford Drive is a flexible weekly lease program that invites qualifying rideshare drivers in most California zip codes to join our electrifying rideshare program. Approved drivers can lease the Mustang Mach-E® on a weekly basis with no long-term commitment (minimum of 30 days).

    Qualified drivers must login using their Uber account and must have a 4.9+ driver rating with 100+ trips. Drivers in Los Angeles must be 25+ years old. Drivers in other regions of California must be 21+ years old. A soft credit check will also be conducted during sign-up to confirm eligibility (minimum 600 credit score + other qualifying factors), and a valid credit card is required for a vehicle pick-up appointment.

    Click on Join Now and follow the sign up instructions. You will be directed to login with your Uber driver credentials. If you qualify you will be prompted to the Ford Drive offer to get started. If you do not qualify or are not in our participating zip codes you will not be able to proceed. You will need your drivers license and credit card handy.

    Our help center will contact you to set up a pickup appointment; depending on your location, they will provide you with our closest office's address.

  • Our Plans

    We are available in the United States in most California zip codes.

    There is no initial fee or deposit. Depending on which plan you choose and which zip codes you are located. Check out our location pages based on what is closest to you to see the pricing per region. And you are not locked into your weekly package and may switch your plan at any point within your term for an upcoming week.

    The lease terms are up to you, with a minimum of 30 days. Vehicle swaps are not required for renewal.

    Customers are allowed to take the vehicle anywhere in the contiguous US. They cannot go into Mexico or Canada.

    Yes, you can! You need to be a qualified Uber driver to join, but you are able to utilize the vehicle for all your personal and gig working needs.

  • Accounts & Payments

    Your debit or credit card information will be collected when you make a reservation to lease a vehicle. The first payment will be charged at the vehicle pick-up appointment using the card provided on file. Your subscription period starts the day you pick up the vehicle from us. We will charge you a vehicle use fee for each calendar week (Monday through Sunday) during the lease term based on the pricing tier you select. The weekly payment will be prorated for any partial calendar week during the lease term, including the week of pick-up. We may offer additional pricing tiers from time to time. You may change your pricing tier selection weekly, although a waiting period may impact a change in your pricing tier. Your new pricing tier will be effective as of the first day of the following weekly billing cycle. Mileage overage fees reflect the mileage and pricing tier of the prior week. If you miss a payment, we may charge a late fee.

    If you schedule a vehicle pickup appointment and do not show up or you are more than 45 minutes late, a $25 fee will be charged. Please inform us in advance if you need to reschedule to avoid any charges. Additionally, there is no cancellation fee after you reach the minimum lease term of 30 days. Please call at least three days in advance to set up a return appointment to facilitate a smooth process. If you are continuing your rental with us, your payments will auto-renew without you needing to show up at one of our locations.

    No deposit is required. You first payment will be charged at your vehicle pick up appointment.

  • Coverage

    Depending on your selected plan your mileage allocation is either 500 miles, 1000 miles, or Unlimited miles per week. If you are not signed up for Unlimited miles for the week, you will be charged $0.20/mile after the limit is met for the week.

    Your lease includes the standard maintenance of your vehicle and covers items such as tires and brakes due to wear and tear (with tread levels below 3/32 inches). We are happy to help you find a dealership to handle maintenance and repairs.

    We ask that drivers use their own FasTrak transponder & FasTrak account to pay for tolls. Any unpaid tolls charged to the vehicle will be added to your weekly invoice.

    If you are involved in a collision, the most important thing to do is to try to remain calm and call 911 if anyone is injured. Within 12 hours of the collision: • Please notify Ford Drive 1-800-805-5462 • Contact your Insurance company If your vehicle is damaged, you are responsible for working with the insurance company to coordinate repairs and resolve the claim. Please note you are also responsible for the cost of any damages, including any insurance deductibles owed.

  • Charging

    To find a charging station, you can ask SYNC (icon on steering wheel) or select the Charge Assist App on the SYNC®† touchscreen in your Mustang Mach-E®. Additionally, you can use the Ford Drive app to direct you to a navigation app on your device to help find the nearest charging station.

    Your Mustang Mach-E® comes with the Ford Mobile Charger, which is compatible with standard 120V and 240V outlet. Stay tuned for more details on who may be eligible for a complimentary fast charging adapter and how you can request one.     The length of time a charge lasts varies based on how often you drive the vehicle. When storing your vehicle for greater than 30 days the state of charge should be approximately 50%. Additionally, we recommend disconnecting the 12v battery which will reduce system loads on the HV battery. Note: Make sure the vehicle has been switched off and doors closed for at least five minutes before disconnecting the 12 volt battery.

    The EPA estimated range for the Mustang Mach-E® Select is 250 miles. The vehicle will display the current range, which is based on a number of factors, such as weather, driving behavior, in-vehicle climate options. Ford all-electric vehicles learn cabin comfort preferences and driving habits using Intelligent Range. The vehicle must be driven to learn the customer's driving habits over a period of 500 miles or 12 hours to accurately estimate range using a learning-based algorithm.

    When plugging in the Ford Mobile Charger, be sure the connector is flush. You will hear a click when it is fully inserted. If your charger is not flush, you may see a yellow light and your vehicle will not charge.

    Costs for charging vary by region and time of use.

    For most Ford electric vehicles, the recommended charge level is 90%. This will help prolong battery life. Avoid charging to 100% when you don’t need that range, though 100% charge is recommended before beginning a longer trip.
